The Will Of Ezekiel Young
In the name of God amen. I, Ezekiel Young of the county of Grayson being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God for, and calling to mind the uncertainty of Human life, and being desirous of all such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with. I give and bequeath to my wife Ruth Young one third part of the land I now live on for and during the term of her natural life, and four head of Horses and the Household furniture and an equal divide of the rest of the Stock.
2. I give to my son Robert Young one cow.
3. I give to my son Joseph Young the half of the Waggon, the other half to my Wife to be equally divided between them and one bed and an equal divide of all the rest of the stock.
4. I give to my son Ezekiel Young one bed and an equal divide of the Stock.
5. I give to my son William Young one hundred and fifty acres of land lying on the Waters of Fox Creek one bed and an equal divide of the Stock to him, his Heirs, Executors Administrators or Assigns forever.
6. I give to my son Thomas Young the Tract of Land I now live on and yearlin Colt and one bed, and an equal divide of the Stock to him and his heirs or Executors and Administrators.
I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made heretofore. In Witness I have hereunto set and fixed my seal this 13th of April 1800.
Grayson May Court 19--. This Nuncupative Will of Ezekiel Young was proven in Court by Joseph Fields, who deposed that the same was made in the time of the last sickness of the said Ezekiel at his habitation and that the said Ezekiel called upon him and Benjamin Phips that such was his Will or Words to that impart.
